Exclusive distributor of Tata Motors vehicles from India, the Pilipinas Taj Autogroup, Inc. (PTAJ) continues to expand its network in the country with the inauguration of its Cagayan de Oro dealership on December 8. Though the new dealership has been operating since March 18, the event signals its formal welcome as a fully operational addition to Tata’s Philippine network.

Located along the Gusa National Highway in Cagayan de Oro City, the new Tata CDO dealership features a 5-car showroom to facilitate close inspection of the vehicles on offer. Tata CDO will be offering the marque’s complete line-up of passenger and commercial vehicles: the Manza compact sedan, Vista compact hatchback (see our video “Driving the Tata Vista Ini …“), Indigo sub-compact sedan, Indica sub-compact hatchback, and the Ace mini-truck (see our review “Riding the Elephant: …”), and Super-Ace light truck (see our story, “The Tata Super Ace …”) with various rear-body configurations. Completing the picture is the new dealership’s automotive after-sales operation with bays for servicing 10 to 12 vehicles at any given time.

The newly inaugurated facility is owned and operated by Davao Bonifacio Motors, Inc.. Headed by its Chairman, Dr. Dave Ross F. Bonifacio, Bonifacio Motors has history in the auto trade business going back half a century.   On the occasion of the inauguration, Dr. Bonifacio said:   “Today, Cagayan De Oro is the burgeoning center of commerce, education, and government administration in northern Mindanao. Cagayan De Oro has also been dubbed as the auto hub in Mindanao and also being a host to world renowned car brands and dealerships, and now – Tata Motors.
