Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) and Lazada Philippines turned over a brand new Isuzu D-Max pick-up to Rodel L. Abay last April 12, the lucky major prize winner of Lazada’s Online Revolution promo. Abay received the top-spec D-Max 4×4 LS-A AT at Lazada’s head office in Taguig City. He was surprised by the win, saying that although he knew he was eligible for the raffle, he hadn’t entertained any notion of actually winning it.

IPC supported Lazada’s promo which was intended to offer a chance reward to shoppers during the last Christmas season. It ran from November 11 to December 31, 2016, offering a raffle entry for a minimum purchase of P2,000 with Lazada. IPC president Hajime Koso said: “Lazada is one of the country’s leading online stores, we are happy that we have partnered with them in this promo during the holiday season. I think it is a good way to treat its customers who have been patronizing their online store. For our part, we are confident that the Isuzu D-MAX will serve as a reliable vehicle to Mr. Abay, we hope that he enjoys this post-Christmas present.”

The D-Max 4×4 LS-A AT won by Abay is the top-of-the-line variant of Isuzu’s popular mid-size pick-up. It mounts the 3.0 liter 4JJ1-TC high boost turbodiesel that’s features a common rail direct injection fuel system and adds a new Variable Geometry System (VGS) to the intercooled turbocharger. The engine is tuned for power and torque numbers that are good enough even for all-terrain duties but also keeps these sensible enough at 160hp and 380Nm to mitigate the stress on its workings and prolong its service life. Its top-spec refinements include LED daytime running lamps supplementing projector-type headlamps, chrome-clad power-folding side mirrors, leather upholstery, and a 7-inch touchscreen heading up an infotainment system with Bluetooth and iPod-specific connectivity.
